Further Afield:

If you want to explore Grand Cayman beyond West Bay, rent a car and hit some of these spots. Trips are about 45-60 minutes by car:

  • Located on the North Side, Cayman Crystal Caves offers guided tours to this natural attraction.
  • Experience the natural wonder of the Blowholes. Located on Sea View Road near the East End, see water spew into the air as the ocean meets land. The Blowholes are free to visit.
  • A short drive up the road from the Blowholes and also free to visit, take in the view of the Wreck of the Ten Sails and read about its history.
  • Explore the island’s native flora and fauna, including a blue iguana habitat, at the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park in the East End.
  • Explore Pedro St. James, the oldest existing stone building on the island.
  • See stingrays and other marine life in their natural habitat with a trip to Stingray City
